Referral Process
There are multiple ways students can see the school counselor...
Students can self-refer to discuss a concernStudents can simply stop by the counseling office (101-U) to fill out a slip. The slip asks students to write their first and last name, teacher’s name, and their concerns. After everything has been filled out, they can just drop the slip into the box and the school counselor will make an appointment to see the student.
Parents can refer a student by contacting the counselorParents can reach the school counselor by phone (919-363-2871), email ([email protected]), or stopping by the counseling office to fill out a form that is right outside of the office. You can also download a form here and return it to the school counselor at your convenience.

Teachers may consult with a parent about a referral to the counselorWhen you see the need for a counselor to see one of your students for any reason, it is a good practice to notify the parents about the referral so that it is not a surprise for them.
Please fill out a referral form that is right outside of the counseling office. |
